Leather in Athens - and...

We hope you’ve been enjoying the summer while there are still a few weeks of it left! We are now a little under three months away from the Athens Leather Weekend and, as promised, this post confirms that the final programme is now complete. We have now added two last events:

• a second-hand leather & fetish gear bazaar at Big Bar Athens. This was one of the events most frequently requested by those of you who completed our poll in the past, so we are very happy that we have managed to include it. The bazaar will give people the opportunity to buy second-hand gear at affordable prices, while also giving those who have items they no longer need or want the chance to pass them on to someone else. If you have any fetish gear you would like to donate, please contact us as soon a s possible. We will send a separate reminder about this closer to the date.

• a presentation on kink and healthcare by leatherfafner, founder of the Kink Inclusive Healthcare Alliance. The purpose of the project is to provide and further develop resources that enable kinksters and fetishists to have open and honest conversations with healthcare providers, including both medical and mental-health professionals. It also explores ways of addressing and dealing with stigma surrounding these practices, as well as of overcoming shame. We are very grateful to him for offering to give this presentation on such an important and often overlooked topic.

Overall, we are extremely happy with the final shape that the event has taken and believe that this is our most ambitious programme yet. We have already heard from several people that they plan to attend and we cannot wait to welcome everyone in November. Once again, a reminder: if you do plan to join us, please don't forget to register for the event!

We do, however, have, some more exciting news to share. After listening to members of our group, other guys who are curious about leather and fetish, and local venues of the city interested in our events, we have decided to relaunch the Thessaloniki Leather Weekend, after a three-year hiatus.

We are therefore very excited to announce that the third Thessaloniki Leather Weekend will take place on 5-7 February 2027. It is, of course, too early to provide more details on the programme, but we will broadly follow the model we have developed for these weekends in both Athens and Thessaloniki. We will keep you posted as plans develop.
